Buying a home can be a long or short term effort depending on your familiarity with the communities you may wish to consider. I focus my efforts on Scottsdale, Carefree, Fountain Hills, Paradise Valley and North Phoenix.
If you are familiar with a community and have an interest in particular areas/subdivisions this will shorten the process considerably. In this instance it is often a matter of finding “the right home” for my client within a community.
In instances where a client is not familiar with the Phoenix metro area I provide my client a general overview of the area and go over the options that may exist for them to consider.
A discussion of price range you wish to be in and the expected square footage and general features you desire in a home and community is essential. Next I discuss in more detail features you prefer in a community such as: guard-gated, golf community, location, views, schools, distance to other metro or work areas.
When we have a chance to meet in person I will typically describe what communities may make sense to consider and why. Upon agreement we will then visit communities noting pros and cons while also viewing homes to give you further insight into what your dollars will afford you in that community. Often I will recommend a client spend further time, if needed, revisiting the communities and getting a better feel for them.
My goal is to eventually focus your attention to one to three communities which are of interest to you. Then we can focus on homes that are available within those communities that meet your criteria while looking further into the community itself.
My clients should have fun and enjoy the process of looking for their dream home, I love what I do and pride myself on always finding the perfect home for a client whether it is a $500,000 patio home or a $5 million estate.
